It is almost 30 years after the “rage” virus leaked from a biological weapons laboratory and the world is still living in a strictly enforced quarantine. But some people have built an existence among the infected. 

One such group of survivors lives on a small island that can only be reached from the mainland via one heavily guarded crossing. When one person in the group leaves the island for a mission that takes him deep into the dark mainland, he discovers secrets and wonders, as well as horrors that have affected not only the infected, but also other survivors.
