Indie-pop filled with feel-good vibes, catchy melodies, summer guitar riffs, and retro synths. Blanks, the solo project of Dutch writer and producer Simon de Wit, creates music that energizes you. What started as a hobby in his attic has grown into an international career. Through YouTube, Blanks built an international audience using creative concepts like ‘Fill In The Blanks’, where he writes songs with his fans. This has resulted in songs like Breathe In Breathe Out, Higher, and Love Situation. He now has over 1.2 million followers on YouTube.

Due to his online success, Blanks has evolved into an energetic live performer. He has performed at events like ESNS, New York Indie Week, and Reeperbahn Festival. He has also done sold-out club tours in the Netherlands and Belgium, a US tour supporting St. Lucia, and in 2023, his first headline European tour. In 2022, he won a Music Moves Europe award (formerly known as EBBA), and appeared on the Dutch TV show “Beste Zangers”, where his infectious enthusiasm and ‘golden-retriever’ vibes won the hearts of the Dutch audience.

In 2023, Blanks also actively worked as a producer and songwriter for other artists. With Belgian singer Pommelien Thijs, he scored three number 1 hits in Belgium. His collaboration with singer MEAU also resulted in a Top 40 hit in the Netherlands. In the fall of 2024, Blanks will embark on his biggest tour yet as a headliner across the US and Europe.
