Grote Markt, 9712 HN GroningenEise Ivo Smit is a playwriter, performer, and creative writing instructor. In 2021, he was awarded the Hendrik de Vries Grant by the municipality of Groningen in the literature category.
As a result, his first book "To bee or not to be" was published by Uitgeverij Passage in 2022. This eclectic and experimental work explores a mystical and imaginative world surrounding a dynasty of bee princesses.
He has, among other things, created a performance for Bosk in Leeuwarden and regularly performs as a spoken word artist. Currently, he is working on a project that brings together his various interests: storytelling, improvisation, and the use of a self-designed symbolic language.
