An elegant, warm-hearted blend of romantic comedy and political drama, written by Aaron Sorkin and directed by Rob Reiner. Michael Douglas plays the charismatic widower President Andrew Shepherd, who unexpectedly falls in love with an idealistic lobbyist (Annette Bening) in the middle of an election year. 

What begins as a light romance develops into a sharp and human portrait of power, vulnerability, and public morality.
