Respirare 

Three artists create new monumental installations that invite reflection on the essence of being. They explore the intersection between technology and life, aiming to simulate consciousness. All of them produce theatrical, performative works where the ordinary transforms into the extraordinary.

Jan Zuiderveld

Jan Zuiderveld's approach is characterized by playful interaction with artificial intelligence to mimic the behavior of living beings, blurring the boundaries between the living and the inanimate. He graduated in 2023 from the Master ArtScience at KABK The Hague.

Abel Kamps

Abel Kamps often uses collections of everyday objects that serve as metaphors. His installations question existence and the human values related to life and death. He graduated in 2024 from ABK Minerva Groningen.

Finn Stevenhagen

Finn Stevenhagen is an interdisciplinary artist and filmmaker who uses computer animation, scenography, and animatronics to explore humanity through fictional stories. He graduated in 2023 from ArtScience at KABK The Hague.

SIGN2

SIGN2 is a vibrant and experimental project space for contemporary interdisciplinary art at the national level. It provides a platform for young artists to profile, develop, and intensify their artistic practice. New work is initiated in unique contexts, and necessary reflection is provided. Presentations occur at SIGN, at various locations, and in public spaces with a variety of conditions, perspectives, and disciplines.

SIGN is supported by the Mondriaan Fund and Kunstpodium Basis for the period 2021-2022 and also for 2023-2024.
