Young the Giant have now been steadily making their mark for fifteen years, growing into a fixture of American indie rock thanks to massive hits such as “My Body,” “Cough Syrup,” “Mind Over Matter,” and “Superposition.” On their sixth album, Victory Garden, the band return to basics: writing and recording together in one room. Lyrically, the record revolves around radical empathy, with direct and personal songs. Musically, Young the Giant show just how strong their interplay has become after all these years.
