YRSA + Mayte

If you love Spinvis, Björk and Eefje de Visser, you really don’t want to miss these two acts. Their Dutch- and Frisian-language music was influenced by these greats, among others, and they have a lot more in store for you. 17 April at Simplon UP!

Cradle yourself to rest at YRSA. With poetic lyrics and expressive melodies, YRSA magnifies small moments. Unwind, and reflect on what would otherwise be lost. In her Dutch-language songs, you can hear influences from Eefje de Visser, Radiohead, Spinvis and poets from various movements. Her swaying song Ship sounds reassuring and menacing at the same time.

Maytesings powerfully in Frisian, the language closest to her. Songs about lost loves and dreams of the future. The four-piece band creates an intimate, dreamy atmosphere with rousing beats and electronic elements. Mayte is inspired by artists such as PJ Harvey, Portishead and Björk.
