"Save the Jungle" is a beautiful animated film, both heartwarming and exciting, set in the jungles of Borneo. We meet Kéria, a city girl, her cousin Selaï, and a baby orangutan named Oshi. Together, they try to protect the tropical rainforest. Kéria lives with her father on the edge of the jungle when her cousin Selaï comes to stay with them for a while from the jungle. When Kéria finds a baby orangutan, they decide to care for the little ape together so they can release it back into the wild later.

But the jungle is threatened by large logging companies. Together, Kéria, Selaï, and Oshi will face obstacles to fight against the planned deforestation. In the process, Kéria learns more about the rainforest and her own heritage. "Save the Jungle" is from the creators of My Life as a Zucchini and is made in the same unique stop-motion style. Director Claude Barras once again demonstrates his skill in bringing important themes to attention.
