Syrian great Duraid Lahham returns to the big screen with 2 Days (Yomein), which not only stars but also wrote the screenplay, describes the film as a ‘white comedy’-a genre that combines subtle humour and optimism with social reality.
Set in a small village, the story follows two children who join Lahham on a journey through life, full of small moments of joy and introspection. Unlike a black comedy, which is often cynical or satirical, 2 Days uses light, humane humour to bring hope amid daily challenges.
