Sinterklaas Party Appingedam 2025

As a grand finale, Sinterklaas will also visit Appingedam this year – and it will be a big celebration!

On Saturday, November 29, the ASWA building will be transformed into a true children’s paradise during the Mega Grote Opwierde Sinterklaas Party. From 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM, elementary school children can enjoy an afternoon full of games, music, treats, and fun.

Sinterklaas and his helpers (Pieten) have prepared a cheerful program to keep the children entertained. The event is organized by Sinterklaas in collaboration with Stammenhof, Kriebeldam, and Sunrise Festival Opwierde.

Note: this year there is a small change – parents cannot enter the hall. This ensures enough space for children to move and play freely. The organizers appreciate your understanding.

Parents are also asked to notify the organizers if their child cannot attend. Last year, some children were disappointed because others did not show up. Therefore, this year: if you register but do not cancel and do not show up, your child will be placed on the waiting list next year.
