The Congos
The Congos is a roots reggae group from Jamaica. Formed in the 1970s, the trio is one of the few reggae groups still touring the world in its original lineup. When they take the stage, you immediately feel the unity and powerful cohesion of the Rastafarians. The band gained fame with the legendary album “Heart of the Congos,” recorded in the iconic Black Ark studio of Lee “Scratch” Perry. It contains reggae roots gems that honor their vocal performances.

Now, years later, they are entering the studio once again to record a new album set to be released in the spring of 2024.

The Gladiators
Amidst the rise and fall of many reggae artists and bands, The Gladiators remain one of the most influential reggae groups to date. After forming in the early 1970s, The Gladiators immediately made a name for themselves with their most successful albums, “Trenchtown Mix Up” (1976) and “Proverbial Reggae” (1978).

Since then, the band has continued to tour relentlessly. In 2004, frontman Albert Griffiths retired, passing the leadership of The Gladiators to his son Al upon the release of the album “Father and Sons,” while his other son Anthony had been drumming in the band since 1997.

The resemblance between Al and his father is astonishing, both in appearance and in voice. The audience quickly accepted him taking over the reins. And for good reason; the band still delivers strong live performances.
