Mudflat Hike to the Island

A long trek from the mainland to the island. The hike takes about 5 hours, crossing mudflats and several shallow tidal channels along the way. You'll feel like you're truly in the middle of nowhere, making the experience even more special.

Once we've crossed the final channel, the Sprutel, we’re safely across the Wadden Sea and have about an hour left to walk before reaching the island.

Upon arrival, we’ll wash and change at a designated spot. A bus will then take participants to the village. After spending a few hours on the island, we’ll head to the ferry terminal by bus for the return trip to Lauwersoog.

The price includes bus transport both on the mainland and the island.

If departure is scheduled for the afternoon, time on the island may be shortened or omitted to avoid a very late return to Lauwersoog.

If the ferry cannot be reached during afternoon hikes, we will return using our own vessel.
