Bike parking Nieuwe Markt

The municipality of Groningen has built some big bike garages in Groningen.

Most of them are underground and very modern and most important the parking is for free.

This one below Groninger Forum has enough space for 1200 bikes.

In the city itself there are only a few spots where you can store your bike. Beware of the agents, they will take your bike if it is parked on an unwanted spot!

There is almost no place in the World where we use  our bikes that much as a daily way of transport, like in Groningen! 

Same as in Delhi India, you will feel like the traffic comes from everywhere! In Groningen at crossing points all bikes have a green light at the same time.
