Pachamama
With the construction of the Forum Groningen completed in 2019, a completely renewed part of the city center emerged. In the shadow of the Forum lies the Nieuwe Markt, where the unique restaurant Pachamama has been located since 2023.
Pachamama is owned by the same entrepreneurs as restaurant Florentin. It falls within the same price range and offers a creative interior and atmospheric background music. However, the difference lies in the execution and cuisine. While Florentin is inspired by a neighborhood of the same name in Tel Aviv, Pachamama is one of the few in the Netherlands focused on Nikkei cuisine.
Nikkei cuisine is a fusion of Japanese and Peruvian cuisine, born from cultural exchange between these countries at the end of the nineteenth century. It combines the refined preparation of Japanese cuisine with exotic ingredients from Peru. At Pachamama, this fusion cuisine is artfully refined and can be enjoyed in a five-course menu, with a special vegetarian menu also available.
Would you like to try Nikkei cuisine in the heart of Groningen? Pachamama is open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 18:00 to 23:00.
