Fan of catchy indie guitar bops? Then Big Sleep is your latest discovery. The Irish four-piece from Dublin is laced with rock, indie, funk and synthwave influences. As Dancing Bears nicely says: ‘This up-and-coming indie band once again confirms what we actually already knew: there’s good music coming out of Ireland.’ Not to be missed, then!

The Irish-Italian/Spanish group met partly at school and others joined later after meeting through the live music scene within the city. With indie-pop qualities blending alternative rock and soul sounds, Big Sleep cites artists such as Big Thief, JJ Cale, Jamiroquai and The Cure as influences. Since the release of their debut EP in June 2022, Big Sleep has toured across Europe, received regular international radio coverage and been featured on heavy-hitting Spotify releases such as New Music Friday, The Other List, All New Rock to name a few.

The band released their second EP Stay Put Sunshine end 2024, which was produced by producer Chris Ryan (NewDad, Just Mustard, CHALK). The band is now set to release more as well as go on a European tour, not skipping Simplon. Good vibes at the ready? On to Simplon!
