Drum your hands red during a djembe workshop, create your own play in one afternoon, or explore the joy of making art with guidance from our artist-teachers. At VRIJDAG’s Children’s Workshop, anything is possible. Each week brings a new group, a new teacher, and a brand-new workshop.

Workshops & Themes

Every month features a different main theme, with a new sub-theme each week. We begin with a short introduction, after which you’re free to choose the activity you want to join. After the first workshop we take a short break with a drink and a small treat.

Is it your first time and does it feel a bit exciting? Just let us know, or arrive a little earlier to take a look inside the classroom with your parents. You can also join a half session first to get a feel for it.

Activities are for kids only. Parents are welcome to wait outside the classroom, for example at the large table in the hallway or at the bar. Please wear old clothes that can get dirty.

Registration & Tickets

Spots are limited, so we recommend buying a ticket in advance. This is not required—you can also pay at the door. A single ticket costs 8 euros, a five-strip card 40 euros, and a ten-strip card 75 euros. Payment is by card only. Do you have a Stadjerspas? Bring it with you and purchase your ticket at the entrance.

The Children’s Workshop starts at 14:30, so be sure to arrive on time.
