Gallowstreet has been a household name for over a decade. The Amsterdam-based brass band is widely known for their energetic horn-driven sound, which has taken them to Lowlands, North Sea Jazz, Dour, and many other festivals both in the Netherlands and abroad.

“La référence du brass band européenne,” someone writes in the comments on one of the band’s clips. And they’re not wrong. When Gallowstreet first started, the sounds of New Orleans were still dominant, but over time the band planted its roots firmly in Dutch soil rather than the bayou. The Netherlands is a festival country, and that spirit runs deep. Gallowstreet blends genres with a clear mission: it has to be danceable, recognizable, and immersive. Think Giorgio Moroder meets Ennio Morricone, Justice meets Jungle, Daft Punk with horns—a mix of dance, fusion jazz, and four-on-the-floor stadium rock.

On Saturday, December 5, the eight-piece formation brings their brand-new album FUTUREBRASS to Groningen. It combines the energy of dance and electropop with acoustic brass sounds, with a loving nod to the French Touch genre—a sound that is as nostalgic as it is futuristic.
