Collaboration with Cultural Organisations
Once again, we are partnering with various cultural organisations in Groningen’s city centre. A special new addition this year is the former tobacco factory Niemeyer as an event location.
With our own venues on Zuiderdiep and Praediniussingel and additional locations at Kunstpunt Groningen, Noorderlicht, Niemeyer, NP3 | RE:Search:Gallery, SIGN and Pictura, the show will be a hub for the arts and culture sector. These joint institutions aim to spotlight emerging talent.
Art & Technology at the Niemeyer Factory
A remarkable new component this year is the collaboration with the former Niemeyer tobacco factory. MWPO and Campus Groningen are transforming the location into a dynamic hub focused on digital transformation. The site will soon host incubators, businesses, leisure, hospitality, and cultural public spaces.
Minerva Art Academy and Niemeyer are working together around the theme Art & Technology. In a world driven by technological advancement and social change, students are encouraged to experiment with (often unfamiliar) technologies. They produce critical, innovative work that fuses art, design, and technology. A selection of these works will be exhibited in part of the factory. Additionally, a networking event will bring together representatives from art, culture, education, the creative industry, and ICT.
