It’s not by accident that the koi carp, the creature from Chinese mythology, appears in both Koi Forest’s name as well as their logo. Much like the carp, which is known to swim upstream, the music of Koi Forest sonically swims against the current. Inspired by this creature, the band takes you to mythical places and unknown atmospheres in their music. With deep grooves, fairytale-like harmonies and visual stimuli, they guide you through deep forests where everything seems just slightly different.

Vythess is one of the new Bulgarian vocalists and songwriters in the pop scene. Starting from a small town in the Rhodope Mountains, she continued to explore the European music scene in the Netherlands, searching for unique sounds. Her love for local artist communities led to multiple cross-art performances at festivals like Suikerbrij and inspired her to create her own intimate events, aiming to further develop the diverse art community in the north of the Netherlands. Pop, infused with R&B elements, is woven into a sonic journey reflecting Vythess’ personal experiences, emphasizing the individual’s inner state in relation to their thoughts and society. In a world filled with loneliness, she aims to create a safe space for young people to express themselves and grow.
