Djurre de Haan, the Groningen-based artist also known as AWKWARD i, is a versatile singer-songwriter and composer. For over fifteen years, he has been releasing music both under his own name and his alias. His work has earned him two Golden Calf nominations.

The latest album by AWKWARD i, Unalaska, is a journey through melancholy and self-irony, featuring a rich musical palette. On this album, De Haan sounds more like himself than ever before, drawing listeners in with poetic lyrics. The album is influenced by a range of styles, from folk to orchestral and psychedelic chamber pop.

In addition to his own work, De Haan regularly composes for theater and film. He has created scores for productions such as Aanmodderfakker, Rundfunk, and the Netflix series Ares.
