Swank Mami, also known as Umal, has made a powerful entrance into the music world. Following her debut single, Venus Retrograde, the 27-year-old Somali artist from Oslo created waves in pop music with her sleek, genre-defying sound. Swank Mami was celebrated by international media outlets like The Fader, The Face, and Dazed as a breakthrough voice in avant-garde dance-pop, and was handpicked for a role in Travis Scott’s latest film. Debut EP Worldstar came out in October 2025.
