A ‘one of a kind running event’

What sets this running event apart is that all distances are covered in the dark. Participants can bring their own lighting, and there will also be music and lighting along the course, creating a dazzling light festival! The start and the finish will be at the historic square Ossenmarkt in Groningen.

The distances

There is a suitable distance for everybody! Participants in the Night of Groningen can choose from various distances, including 5 kilometers, 10 kilometers, 10 English miles (16.1 kilometers), or the Half Marathon.

In the 10 kilometers, participants complete the 5-kilometer loop twice. For the 10 English Miles, participants cover the 5-kilometer loop three times, with an additional 1.1-kilometer loop in the first round. The half marathon course consists of four rounds with an extra 1.1-kilometer loop in the first round.

After party

Between 9PM and 23PM there will be a cool after run party in a tent on the Ossenmarkt, with live music (a DJ) and some snacks!
