The Citizen Kane among rom-coms is already twenty years old, but still manages to touch many hearts as the ultimate Christmas film.

A woman finds out that her husband is cheating, his stepson is hopelessly in love with a girl from school, the brother of the deceived woman is the prime minister and he falls in love with the coffee lady. As screenwriter of Four Weddings and a Funeral (1994) and Notting Hill (1999), Richard Curtis already proved that he could handle romantic comedies well, and with this directorial debut he outdoes himself.

Love Actually neatly follows the rules of the genre, but does so so virtuoso that even the greatest cynic must feel deep admiration for this classic with crowd favorites such as Hugh Grant, Colin Firth, Emma Thompson and Liam Neeson.
