As an instrumental trio, Utrecht-based Cocobolo has always had a weakness for the raw energy of the classic 1960s surf sound. That mix of echoing guitars, open drums, and unpolished drive forms the backbone of Cocobolo’s own unique sound.

To honor those roots, they are releasing their new EP 'Shooting From the Hip' in the spring of '26. Five instrumental tracks in which the echoes of surf and western sounds from the sixties resonate—rattling, frayed, and full of movement. Exactly 65 years after the release of Dick Dale’s ‘Let’s Go Trippin’, which is widely considered the birth of surf music.

To celebrate the release of this EP, the trio is coming to turn our Bovenzaal upside down!
