De Niemanders
De Oosterpoort
Trompsingel 27, 9724 DA GroningenDe Niemanders is not just any band. They give a voice to the nobodies, the outcasts. Previously, De Niemanders created an album with inmates. On their latest album, they literally give asylum seekers a stage. The haunting and electrifying mix of voices, musical styles, and many languages can now be heard in theaters for the first time with Cafe Habibi.
De Niemanders have performed at festivals like Down The Rabbit Hole and Into The Great Wide Open, in concert halls, and even at the prestigious King's Day concert for the royal family, where the audience danced to the band’s irresistible groove. The many unique singers and musicians—some of whom live (or have lived) in asylum centers—gave the crowd goosebumps. In short: a band you must see. It hits you right in the heart and moves your hips. These "nobodies" are unstoppable and are now taking the next step. The 12-piece musical family invites the Dutch theater audience into their self-created universe: Cafe Habibi!
