This Amsterdam-based Nederpop band was founded in 1978 by singer Harry Slinger and musicians Ton Coster, Joop May, and Hans Witteveen. In the late 70s, Drukwerk became known for protest songs against issues such as the closure of youth centers in Amsterdam-Noord, housing shortages, and other injustices.

In 1981, the band released their album featuring the gold single ‘Je Loog Tegen Mij’, which reached number 1 in the Dutch Top 40 and is still found in the NPO Radio 2 Top 2000 today. In the following ten years, they released seven more studio albums with hits like ‘Marianneke’, ‘Schijn ’n Lichtje Op Mij’, and ‘Hee Amsterdam’. DRUKWERK can rightly be considered a piece of Dutch heritage!

Harry still sings with unstoppable energy the favorites from the Drukwerk repertoire, today alongside his son and keyboardist Bram, bassist Erik Bes, guitarist Bas Kors, and veteran Marcel Lee on drums.
