Duke Garwood
Lutheran Church
Haddingestraat 23, 9711 KCDuke Garwood is an unconventional multi-instrumentalist from Kent, England, who creates a unique, heavy, blues-tinged musical blend. He received his first guitar on his second birthday but preferred the piano until he was seventeen. It didn’t stop there, as he also played clarinet on the first two albums of Archie Bronson Outfit.
Garwood is also an essential part of The Quiet Temple, a psychedelic jazz collective with Soulsavers leader Rich Machin, and has collaborated extensively with late vocalist Mark Lanegan. Garwood has several albums to his name, including The Sand That Falls (2009), Dreamboatsafari (2011), and his most recent release, Rogues Gospel in 2022. His signature sound is his rich, smoldering blues, filled with emotion, slowly but surely drawing listeners in.
