Liberation Festival Groningen 2026: Celebrating Freedom at Stadspark

On Monday, May 5th, 2026, Groningen’s Stadspark will once again host the annual Liberation Festival. This day serves as a moment to reflect on our freedom while enjoying a diverse program of music, debates, and cultural events.

While the official line-up for this year's edition is still being finalized by the organizers, it has been confirmed that the festival will remain free of charge for all visitors in 2026. You can expect a broad mix of national headliners on the Mainstage, emerging artists on the Sena Performers Stage, and local talent from the Groningen region.

Beyond the music, the Freedom Lectures and the festival market are key elements of the event, focusing on connection and dialogue.

Planning & Accessibility:
The festival grounds will open around noon on May 5th. Due to expected crowds and ongoing roadworks around the city, visitors are strongly encouraged to travel by bicycle or public transport.
