Trompsingel 27, 9724 DAAccording to the Dutch Classical Talent jury, this Spanish saxophone quartet “impresses with its beautiful ensemble sound. Sometimes fiery, then again tender and transparent.” During this concert, under the title Between Heaven and Earth, the foursome will play works by Glazunov and others and bring Fanny Mendelssohn out of the shadow of her world-famous brother Felix.
In 2023, the Osimun Quartet was a finalist at the Grachtenfestival Conservatory Competition and won first prize at the Storioni Competition.
Dutch Classical Talent
During this nationwide concert tour, young musicians show their abilities and compete for the Dutch Classical Talent Award. Talent alone is not enough; participants also distinguish themselves through adventurous, stimulating programs. At the end of the tour, the Dutch Classical Talent Award will be presented during the festive finale. Mezzo-soprano Isabel Pronk
and percussion group Kāna Trio are the other two contenders. Previous award winners include Tania Kross, Lavinia Meijer and the Van Baerle Trio, just to name a few resounding names.
