Popronde is a nationwide festival organized by Stichting Popwaarts, taking place every autumn from September to November in about 40 cities across the Netherlands, from Leeuwarden to Middelburg and from Venlo to Alkmaar. For 12 weeks, every weekend features Popronde events, where scheduled acts perform at around twenty venues in each city, including cafés, galleries, theaters, and music venues.

Cardigan Inn [Start 20:30]
Cardigan Inn is a young post-punk band from Amsterdam that combines surprising melodies with solid grooves. After their previous performance supporting CIVIC, they are returning for Popronde.

RÊVERIE [Start 22:00]
RÊVERIE is an alternative pop band addressing themes such as the queer community and mental health, influenced by hip-hop and rock, and framed by a strong visual style.

BUG [Start 23:30]
An Amsterdam-based hip-hop-rave-punk act that bursts with energy and chaos. Their live sets guarantee a mosh pit and lots of dancing.

Popronde is About Unknown Talent

Popronde is free to attend. The festival offers emerging acts the chance to perform outside their home region and gain experience. The lineup is diverse, covering genres from metal to hip-hop and from rock to blues. Acts can apply from December 1st. A selection committee chooses about 100 acts from over 1000 applications. Popronde is a showcase festival, not a competition.

Program

The audience can use a program booklet to hop from act to act. Popronde features a diverse and high-quality lineup with many new bands and artists at accessible venues in the city center, making it easy to discover multiple acts in one evening in a vibrant setting.
