Pops of the Top is a virtuoso lip-synced slapstick concert for the whole family (ages 3+). A wordless performance in the tradition of Aaipet, Pak’m, and BullyBully (winner of the Silver Cricket Award).

How often, as a parent, have you had to watch improvised lip-sync performances by your children? Even before they can walk, they already know the “signature moves” of Beyoncé. Or they phonetically sing along to Sugababes hits. Why is it that something aimed at teenagers turns out to be just as irresistible to the very youngest audiences?

Pops of the Top is a pop concert about extremes, and at the same time a history lesson and a tribute to the classic girl group. We follow three pop stars in their attempt to appear grown-up, harmonious, and cool. But how do you do that when your audience mainly consists of 3-year-olds? What if reality doesn’t match what you had hoped or expected? And why does there always have to be a solo? It’s a story about highs and lows. The best and the worst. About tops and flops. A visual, humorous, and musical performance with plenty of potential hits, complications, and a beginning, middle, and end.
