Wherever Thijs Boontjes goes, there's dancing, clapping, and pure enjoyment. Ambiance! ‘Ambiance’, ‘Dansen Met Jou’, and ‘Deze Nacht (All Night Long)’ are all well-known hits. Thijs Boontjes sounds like a seventies jukebox with a surprising variety of Dutch-language pop hits, roaring guitar music, and the occasional disco track to dance to. As a frontman, he strikes a balance between charming folk singer and charismatic rock star: Boontjes is a bit of Brood and a touch of Hazes, all rolled into one.

Boontjes previously played in the bands of Douwe Bob and Anouk. In other words: this man is a true all-rounder. He eventually decided to release his own songs around 2015, starting with several singles. In 2015, his first EP titled Thijs Boontjes Dans- en Showorkest was released. Several successful albums followed.

This fall, Thijs and his ensemble, the Thijs Boontjes and his famed Dance and Show Orchestra, will once again tour Dutch club venues. In addition to the familiar hits, he’ll also perform songs from Boontjes’ latest record Dancing Boontjes, which came out last year. Get ready to swing and dance!
