The Gatekeepers Lodge, located at Haddingestraat 26, consists of a window and a space in a busy street in the city center of Groningen where modern art is exhibited. The small space can only be viewed from the outside. This window gallery, also known as the smallest gallery in Groningen, has existed since 2008.
Visual Artists who have a studio in one of the 62 permanent studio spaces in the City of Groningen exhibit a range of classical and contemporary visual art here.
In this way every passer-by can see what is being made in these spaces.
These exhibitions are varied with choices made by the curator. These can also include works of art by internationally working artists.
