't Koetshuys

Between the bustling Westerhaven and the Noorderplantsoen lies the Blekerstraat, where the restaurant and bar 't Koetshuys is located. It's an old-fashioned cozy hospitality establishment where you can go for all sorts of occasions. 

At first glance, 't Koetshuys may resemble a cozy brown café, but behind this homely atmosphere, there is more than just a beer at the bar. In the café, homemade drinks and liqueurs are served, and the beers and wines are carefully selected by a beer specialist and a sommelier. While most restaurants in Groningen offering a surprise menu are in a higher price range, the 3 to 6 courses prepared by chef Jasper Markus are quite affordable. This makes 't Koetshuys accessible to everyone, from students to locals to tourists who may have read the good reviews on TripAdvisor. 

Restaurant and bar 't Koetshuys is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 17:00 to 23:00 (only 5- or 6-course menus are available on Friday and Saturday).
