Trompsingel 27, 9724 DAMezzo-soprano, actress and Dutch Classical Talent finalist Isabel Pronk takes you, under the title When it gets dark, through a night in which the protagonist feels, for the first time in ages, what loneliness and darkness is like again. The story is told with music by Astor Piazzolla, Kurt Weill and Wende Snijders, among others, and monologues written in collaboration with writer Amanda Payne. Isabel Pronk creates musically theatrical concerts in which she transcends genres and art forms. She previously toured with Pynarello and appeared in the TV program Podium Klassiek. According to the jury report of Dutch Classical Talent, she is “an engaging personality who tells her story on stage with determination and eagerness. Her warm voice, good sense of text combined with a touch of theater are the perfect ingredients for a captivating evening.”
Dutch Classical Talent
During this nationwide concert tour, young musicians show their abilities and compete for the Dutch Classical Talent Award. Talent alone is not enough; participants also distinguish themselves through adventurous, stimulating programs. At the end of the tour, the Dutch Classical Talent Award will be presented during the festive finale. The saxophone quartet Osimun Quartet and percussion group Kāna Trio are the other two contenders. Previous award winners include Tania Kross, Lavinia Meijer and the Van Baerle Trio, just to name a few resounding names.
