A rare opportunity for fans of krautrock and the noisy guitar bands of the 80s and 90s. The Portuguese-Irish pôt-pot is visiting the cellar bar on their European spring tour for their only Dutch club show, alongside their performances at Grauzone and Eindhoven Psych Fest. And I couldn't be happier about it, given that Warsaw 480km landed on my turntable frequently this past year after hearing NTS DJ Flo Dill play the band often on her morning show. pôt-pot shifts from catchy post-punk à la Cola on tracks like “WRSW” to nocturnal Yo La Tengo feedback on “Fake Eyes”, incorporating a droney tremolo guitar sound into almost all tracks that made those early Spacemen 3 records so good.
