Researchers are looking for solutions to the great challenges of our time. Every day, they are at their labs, digging in the ground, diving into the oceans or analysing texts to move our society forward. To celebrate and question the researchers and the solutions they find, the European Researchers' Night is organised annually all over Europe. In the Netherlands, Groningen is the place to be!
Together with Forum Groningen and other partners, the four RUG Schools for Science and Society* organise the European Researchers' Night. A dazzling science festival with over 50 programme elements. Stadjers, Ommelanders, students, non-students, researchers or non-researchers: all curious people are welcome! The theme of 2024 is Living in a Smart World. Will you be there?
Tickets include two welcome drinks.
The European Researchers' Night / Europese Nacht van de Onderzoekers (ERN) is an annual festival on the last Friday of September in several European cities, with the aim of bringing science to a wide audience. European Researchers' Night is co-funded by the European Commission, under the Horizon Europe Research and Innovation Programme, grant agreement No.101162172.
*With the four Schools for Science and Society, the University of Groningen is committed to four crucial social issues: more healthy years (Aletta Jacobs School), digital society, technology and Artificial Intelligence (Jantina Tammes School), sustainable society (Rudolf Agricola School) and energy and climate (Wubbo Ockels School). Together with the public, educational institutions, governments and industry, these issues are addressed and helps the world moves forward.
