King's Day April 27, 2026
King's Day is the national holiday celebrating the King's birthday. If April 27 falls on a Sunday, King's Day is celebrated the day before. On King's Day, King Willem-Alexander and his family, along with other members of the Royal Family, visit a municipality with a central role in the region. Each year a different one!

Flea Markets
On King's Day, most of the cities and even smaller towns organise events. Like fairs or flea markets. People are dressed in orange to celebrate the royal family and honour their surname ‘Oranje Nassau’. Also the pubs are open during the day and have music events!
