Kyshona is an artist driven by untold stories—stories that, she believes, have the power to connect people. With a background as a music therapist and the voice of a soul singer, she dedicates herself to those who feel excluded, forgotten, or silenced. Through workshops and performances, she helps these individuals reclaim their voices and shows how music can heal and create connection.

Her new album Legacy is a deeply personal project, inspired by her family history, ancestors, and community. The songs were written in collaboration with artists including Aaron Lee Tasjan, Brittney Spencer, and her brother Kelvin Armstrong, and recorded at Southern Grooves Studio in Memphis, led by GRAMMY-winning producer Matt Ross-Spang. Guest contributions from Ruthie Foster, Keb’ Mo’, and Odessa Settles add even more depth to this powerful musical portrait of heritage, connection, and identity.

In 2025, Kyshona also released a series of semi-acoustic live versions of her favorite songs, recorded at the Blue Room Studios. These intimate performances underscore her message: music is more than sound—it’s a way to reach people, to heal, and to bring them together.
