Celebrate the history of the city carillon

In 2025, it has been 500 years since the first City Carillonneur was appointed in Groningen. To celebrate, a free Winter ♪ Carillon ♫ Concert will be held in the Martinikerk, featuring the current City Carillonneurs and the Haydn Youth String Orchestra (HJSO).

A unique concert experience

The carillonneurs play from their tower rooms, connected via live video with each other and the audience. Meanwhile, the Haydn Youth String Orchestra performs inside the Martinikerk, creating a unique combination of tower music and live orchestral performance.
