Broken Brass and Club Ries!

On December 21, the energetic brass band “Broken Brass”will perform at EM2! This eight-member brass band has its roots in Fryslân, but they have made a loud and clear name for themselves across Europe and are now returning to the North. Broken Brass delivers a combination of powerful basses and hard-hitting brass, establishing the swinging formula for a thrilling evening!

After celebrating their 10th anniversary, Broken Brass has already reached their 700th show this year. With their infectious feel-good machine of funk, Afro-beat, and New Orleans influences, they are creating a stir worldwide with their captivating brass energy.

This unique nine-piece band has conquered clubs and festivals in almost 20 countries, with performances at Jazz à Vienne, Secret Garden Party, Shambala, Kendall Calling, Green Man, Fusion Festival, North Sea Jazz, Eurosonic, and more. Additionally, the globe-trotting act has sold out several venues in the UK and the Netherlands, gaining airtime from major Dutch media and, in the UK, from NPO Radio 2 and BBC Radio 6.

After successful tours in 16 different countries and 6 studio albums, Broken Brass is introducing a new yet familiar sound this year. Moreover, we can expect a preview on December 21 at EM2 of what will be prepared for the spring. It's time for carefree, vibrant beats and danceable brass!
