Ella Marie is a Sámi artist, activist, author and actor from the far north of Norway. As the front person of the band ISÁK, she has been praised for years for her energetic stage presence and passionate delivery of yoik - the indigenous Sámi chant. In 2024 she released her first solo singles of timeless and powerful pop music in the Northern Sámi language, where, in poetic and characteristic ways, Ella Marie puts words and melodies to painful feelings many indigenous people carry. Her debut album is due January 2025 via Island Records.
