Anyone slumped on the couch on a Saturday night, binge-watching sitcoms with a bag of chips while pondering the meaning of life, would be better off finding their entertainment in the basement bar. Especially when a band like Forbidden Wizards is performing. Not just because they reference quite a few TV series, but mainly because they make you feel alive. Punk pushed in your face, slapped around your ears, and shoved down your throat—all in the most positive sense of the word. Think of bands like Dead Kennedys, NoMeansNo, and Amyl & the Sniffers. For the latter, they have even served as the opening act on several occasions.
So: take off those sweatpants, move the cat off your lap, and head to the basement bar. | Julia
