FRANK BLUEKA – Love from Ireland
In a world that is on fire, Frank Blueka wonders: “Where has the love in people's hearts gone?”. The path of love. Erratic, with twists, pits, and unexpected routes. This is precisely what rock poet-songwriter Frank Blueka sings about in his new performance. A musical, moving, and atmospheric music show. A beautiful exchange about love. Frank Blueka reflects his own experiences against the broader perspective of worldly chaos. A musical reflection infused with Irish influences—those influences that have shaped Frank Blueka’s songwriting from the very beginning. Songs from colleagues such as U2, Luka Bloom, Clannad, The Cranberries, Rory Gallagher, and The Dubliners interspersed with his own Frank Blueka songs. An almost cinematic setting. Surprising, exciting, and always that warm voice that touches and intrigues the audience…
Born in Heerenveen, Frank Blueka has a rich musical background. He started playing piano at a young age, memorizing pieces because he couldn’t read music. He then picked up the guitar and developed a unique style. After years of playing in various bands, he launched a successful solo career with multiple album recordings and a live performance on Radio 2 with Giel Beelen. Frank has been living in Deventer for some time now, where he produces and creates music from his “White Room” studio.
