Free Your Mind Festival is one of the longest-running techno festivals in the Netherlands and was founded in 2004. The festival, which takes place annually at the beginning of June, consists of two days and has been held since the very first edition on the historic grounds of the Stadsblokken in Arnhem. The Stadsblokken hold historical significance due to the Battle of Arnhem in the Second World War, which was fought on the site where thousands of visitors now attend the Free Your Mind Festival every year.

House, Techno, and Acid

Free Your Mind offers a smooth blend of House, Techno, and subgenres or crossovers. Since 2004, the biggest names in the electronic music industry have been roped in to play at the Free Your Mind Festival. For example, Paul Kalkbrenner, Audio Bullys, Reinier Zonneveld, Charlotte de Witte, Boris Brejcha, and many others have played at the Free Your Mind Festival. This year marks the 20th edition of the Free Your Mind Festival, and by keeping up with developments in electronic music, Free Your Mind is more relevant than ever in 2024!

Free Your Mind Festival Stadspark Groningen

On June 1st and 2nd, the Free Your Mind festival will take place in Arnhem, but..... on Saturday, July 27th, the third outdoor edition will be held in Groningen. The previous editions were indoor. This event is in collaboration with DJ TRYM.

By outdoor, we mean the Drafbaan in Stadspark Groningen, which is the perfect location for a bit of noise ;-) Although there were rumors that such loud events would scare away the 'birds.' However, we still heard them chirping merrily after the Rammstein concert at the same location. Or was it my imagination?
