The second edition of this unique walking event in Groningen. The Groningse Vierdaagse is a four-day walking event taking place from August 3 to 7, 2026, bringing together walkers of all ages and backgrounds in the city of Groningen and its beautiful surroundings. With daily routes of 20 km and 40 km, this event promises to be both a sporty and unifying experience, showcasing the natural and cultural beauty of Groningen. Groningse 4daagse: Key Information (2025 info)

• Event Dates: August 3–7, 2026.
• Distances: Choose between 20 km or 40 km per day.
• Minimum Age: Participants must be at least 12 years old.
• Registration: Closes at a certain date. Tickets are digital and must be shown on the first day.
• Weather: The event will always take place, regardless of weather. Routes may be adjusted in extreme conditions.
• Finish Time: All participants must finish by 17:00 each day.

• First Aid: Available along the route and at the finish area.
• Rest Stops: Located along the route, offering water, food, and seating.
• Group Walking: You can walk together with friends or family if you choose the same start time and distance. Group tickets are available.

• Participation Requirement: You must complete all four days to receive a medal or certificate. Missing a day disqualifies you.
