Bert Hadders and Herman Sandman were children in a world of black and white, mostly black. Life in the Veenkoloniën focused on basic needs: food, drink, shelter, and going to church or football on Sundays. Life as a party? Mwoah. However, they discovered that in the land of their fathers, there were at least fifty shades of gray. To this day, this serves as inspiration for their stories and songs. Hadders and Sandman now believe that life can be a party, but the question remains: where are the streamers?
