From March 13 to April 12, 2025, visit the Slow Reducer solo exhibition by Mara Piccione at Kunstpunt Groningen’s Cella exhibition space. The showcase features a diverse collection of new works, including large minimalist pieces and vibrant collages and monoprints. Each artwork is uniquely created using the screen printing technique, with editions limited to just one, making every piece truly one-of-a-kind.

Over the years, Piccione’s art has evolved from figurative to abstract, with seemingly mundane objects like pebbles and flattened handkerchiefs taking center stage through striking lines and forms. Her studio, the tools she uses, and even the marks left by her process are increasingly incorporated into her visual language. For instance, the grid of a cutting mat, drying racks, and screen printing ink color testers all make their way into her recent works.

In addition to the exhibition, visitors can explore The Choice of Mara Piccione, a special selection of artworks from the Art Lending Library. Piccione has curated pieces that share common ground with her own artistic process, highlighting abstract forms, textures, and the relationship between chance and intervention.

This exhibition is part of the Atelier Collection series at Kunstpunt, which offers a platform for northern artists and supports their professional growth. Visitors can also borrow or purchase Piccione’s works or the selected pieces from The Choice of.
