From March 13, immerse yourself in the colourful world of Hanneke van Limburg at the Kunstuitleen’s pop-up gallery at Nieuwe Markt. A new Groningen-based artist is featured every three weeks, and this time, Hanneke’s work takes center stage. Known for her playful approach to color and rhythm, Hanneke’s art combines screen printing, typography, and textile design into striking visual compositions. With her rich background in both visual arts and curating, Hanneke’s collages, assemblages, and embroidered pieces—often referred to as Bedenkdingen—invite viewers into a multi-coloured, humorous exploration of life.

The gallery’s temporary space, housed in the former Vapiano building, also showcases a rotating collection of art from both the regular Kunstuitleen collection and works directly from northern artists’ studios, offering an exclusive look into their creative processes.
