Timothy Showalter, along with his band Strand of Oaks, is back at De Oosterpoort with his new album Miracle Focus. Showalter took 3 years to write his album and worked as a painter and as an actor on a television show while writing his album. Adding these new elements to his creative life began a journey of liberation and offered him an opening to a whole new approach to songwriting.

Miracle Focus was born out of one simple concept: making people feel good. For most of his previous records, he tried to come to terms with trauma, the ups and downs of life, and to convey and transform those experiences into songs. He is proud of the work he has done, but wanted to rediscover the person he has become in his 40 years. From that, this new album was born. The result is fun, wild, rhythmic music full of synth layering and mantra-like lyrics meant to uplift and hopefully bring some light to whoever listens to it.
